TalentWarden
Private beta

A recruiting concierge for software engineers.

Most recruiter outreach arrives without pay, without a remote or hybrid policy, or without any match to the engineer's skills. TalentWarden screens it first, so the engineer only spends time on opportunities that fit.

What it is

An engineer publishes a TalentWarden email alias (on a resume or job board, for example). Mail sent to that alias goes to TalentWarden, where an assistant compares it with the engineer's stated requirements and asks the recruiter for any missing essentials, such as compensation and work arrangement. The engineer stays in control of what is sent on their behalf.

How it works

  1. A recruiter emails the engineer's alias.
  2. TalentWarden reads the message and evaluates it against the engineer's baseline requirements.
  3. If key details are missing, TalentWarden drafts a short, polite reply asking for them.
  4. The engineer is notified at their own verified inbox and approves, edits, or declines the reply on a confirmation page. Nothing is sent to the recruiter until they approve.
  5. Replies from the recruiter continue in the same email thread.

See what the messages and the confirmation page look like.

What we send, and what we don't

We send two kinds of one-to-one, plain-text email, each triggered by an email someone sent to a TalentWarden alias or by an action the engineer took:

  • a notification to the engineer's own verified inbox about a message received at their alias; and
  • a short reply to the recruiter who wrote to the alias, in the same thread, only after the engineer approves it.

No marketing, no mailing lists, no bulk mail, and we never email people we have no prior conversation with. We do not use open or link tracking in our messages. Addresses that bounce or report spam are suppressed.

Status

TalentWarden is in a private beta used by its founder and a small group of developer friends. There is no public signup yet. If you would like to be considered for the beta, write to hello@talentwarden.dev.

Are you a recruiter who heard from us?

If you received a reply from a TalentWarden address, it was a response to an email you sent to one of our users. If you would rather not hear from us, or believe a message was sent in error, write to abuse@talentwarden.dev and we will stop and look into it promptly.
